    This beard product isn't quite what I was expecting but it seems to be decent. I have a few items from this brand and the stuff with this typeset font isn't quite like the other with the tree. I liked the branding a bit better with that look. The sandlewood I had before was very pleasant with that logo. This sandlewood is a bit more cologne like. The consistency is runny and thin so it isn't my favorite to apply. That said it is fairly easy to apply to beards and to hair.   • My beard wearers opinion: overpriced regular conditioner

    Both my husband and son have beards- my husband’s is shorter and straight, my son’s longer and curly. My husband conditions his beard regularly and my son does not. So between them, I figured I had two good use cases… and in short, neither of them liked this product. My son (19) was the first to try it. How to use it

  1. Wash as usual, then squeeze out excess water. A soaking-wet beard dilutes the mask.
  2. Work a small amount through the beard and along the hair, down to the ends where breakage starts.
  3. Leave it on while you finish the shower, then rinse out.

Twice a week is enough for most beards. Coarse or long beards can take a third application without feeling heavy.

Why a rinse-out mask and not another oil

Beard oil sits on the surface and improves how a beard behaves that day. A rinse-out mask works while it is on, then leaves. The two solve different problems, and a beard that splits at the ends is usually asking for the second one.

Common questions

Is this for the beard or for the hair on my head?

Both. That is the point of the format — the same rinse-out treatment covers beard and scalp hair, which is why it is sold as one jar rather than two.

How often should I use it?

Twice a week suits most beards. Increase it if your beard is coarse, long, or feels dry by the end of the day.

Do I use it before or after conditioner?

Use it in place of conditioner on the days you use it. Stacking both is not necessary.

Will the sandalwood clash with my cologne?

It is a rinse-out product, so most of the scent leaves with the water. What remains is faint and sits close to the skin.

How should I patch test it?

Apply a small amount to a limited area first. For external use only. Avoid the eye area and stop use if irritation occurs.
